Validity of the Injana Claystones as Fillers AL-Hajaj, Northern Salah-Alddin, Iraq

This study aims to evaluate the suitability of Injana Formation clays for filling material in Al-Hajaj area, Salah Aal-Din. The exposed rocks are formation, addition Quaternary Deposit. four stations were studied determine their as materials dams. Geotechnical properties show that type clay is low plasticity and chemical analyses ratio total dissolved salts ranges between 1.35-3.45 %, while gypsum content from 0.22-0.29. In last, geotechnical accepted earth-fill dams when compare with National Center Laboratories Construction Sciences, 2003, Building Materials Specification, Sorb /R5. aim this estimate including petrophysical Chemical know viability area filler based on Iraq specification, Sorb/R5.
